Hello there,
Now I am in the stage of testing the downloads using Amazon S3 servers. I have done the following:
– Uploaded all the files to Amazon S3 servers.
– Set the Keys under settings wEstore
– Set up the download link under products as as3tp://ask1trainer_videos.s3.amazonaws.com/video_1_cardio_and_warm_up.wmv
But I am getting the following error message:
Download file cannot be found. Please let us know. Thank you!
Can someone please give me a hand?
Thanks,
Henry

September 6, 2011 at 8:34 pm #31786MichaelSpectatorGreetings,
I am having trouble when clicking on wpstore download links in emails, I have my files stored at amazon, avi’s, pdf’s and mp3’s.
The download links seen fine for pdf’s, but mp3 download links when clicked on actually open in Quicktime and play, instead of downloading.
This is the url feild that comes up after clicking the link in the email. The download link is reavealed.
This is the log file : [09/05/2011 11:12 PM] – Advisory : Log file reset.
[09/06/2011 8:22 PM] – Status : AS3TP URI request = as3tp://lampmp3sing.s3.amazonaws.com/purposesofgod/purposes_of_god_india_001.mp3
[09/06/2011 8:22 PM] – Status : Dispatching AS3TP URL = http://lampmp3sing.s3.amazonaws.com/purposesofgod/purposes_of_god_india_001.mp3?AWSAccessKeyId=AKIAJV2LYBYF3SBI6MUQ&Expires=1315340872&Signature=yVpaVcOJLdbg05ks%2FHB%2Fs42yGNA%3D
I really have no idea whats going on with my mp3 downloads via amazon.
September 6, 2011 at 9:14 pm #31787wzpModeratorDon’t worry about what you see as the download link, once it is clicked on. It cannot be reused again, after 5 minutes.
Your mp3 files play, because your browser options are setup to open instead of asking what to do with mp3 files.
September 7, 2011 at 1:52 am #31788adminKeymasterSimply place the .mp3 file inside a zip folder and use that as the downloadable file. Browsers cannot play or open a zip file and it will force download regardless of the browser preference settings.
It is always a good practice to serve a zip file as a downloadable file (your users will be able to unzip it and use the file after they download it).
