Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP Lightbox Ultimate › Need to open Lightbox from Image Anchor with HTML not Shortcode
Hello – so I seem to be having some confusion as to the way I can best achieve the look I want.
I have several images in a slider on my page, and when clicked I want them to open a page from my site in a popup/lightbox. However, I cannot do this with a shortcode (the slider plugin will take html code but not shortcode.)
I have read through the Lighbox docs and I have tried adding the rel=”wp_lightbox_fancybox_image” but this seems to only work if I want to open a larger version of the image.
I think I need an html version of the “open external page” shortcode. I tried the inline version of the popup, but that seems like way too much for such a simple idea…ya know?
I feel like I am making this way more difficult than it is…I see sites using popup everywhere so I know it’s something I am doing wrong.
Is there a class or rel=”XXXXX” that I can add to this to make it work?
Thank you,
Ellie
PS – I DO have the Lightbox Plugin BTW
Oops…not sure what happened. Code keeps getting lost upon send, so removing beginning < and ending >
Here is my HTML:
a href=”http://appstorexxx.com/credits/”><img src=”http://appstorexxx.com/media/logo100.png”/></a
Hi, can you please provide a link to the page in question so I can take a look?
