Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP eMember › Names Not being added to email list just the email and the WordPress name
Hi,
I have set up my eMember plugin so that when someone register’s it will add them to my Aweber list. I am using the Global setting of the plugin because the other Aweber configuration has failed me.
However, when someone registers (while using the Global method), the first and last names are not getting added to the list; only the email address is. In place of the name of the person who registers is the “WordPress” name in it’s place.
So instead of seeing the name and email of the person registering. We are seeing the “WordPress” name and email respectfully.
Please help me fix this issue as we have tried the standard connection method to Aweber, which has not worked and the method we are using now works…. but does not work properly.
Thanks
I have a feeling you are using the old email parser method. You have to use the new option explained here:
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/how-to-integrate-wp-emember-with-aweber-151
AWeber has made changes so we updated our plugin also. What issue do you face when you try the new API option?
I am able to Authenticate the plugin through the api connection process. However, when I paste the key into the field required, it doesn’t stick. Meaning it does not stay in the field (It’s not visible).
So when testing the sign up process, with that method…. nothing is being sent to the Aweber list. My client just purchase the plugin 3 weeks ago, so it is the most recent version…. I’m assuming. The version that we are using on the site is: v8.8.6
After you paste the authorization code and save it, it will disappear but the “Make Connection” button will change to “Remove Connection” which means it is connected.
So, I think your API authentication is good. Lets take a look at what else might be going wrong. Please go into the settings menu and enable the debug option. Now, do a user registration and share the URL of your registration page so I can check a few things.
