Mutable Custom Thank You Pages for PayPal

If I am selling different items on my site with different check out (buy now) links, can I specify different “thank you” page redirects from the PayPal gateway (after payment is made)for the items? Or can you only have 1 thank you page when using PayPal?

Yes, you can have product specific Thank You pages, when using PayPal.

WP eStore –> Add/Edit Products –> Buy Now, Subscription or Donation Type Button Specific Settings –> Return URL

The caveats are:

1. This only works for Buy Now, Subscription & Donation buttons.
2. It *will* work for Add To Cart Buttons, *****ONLY IF***** the cart contains ONE item.

What if I designate the same thank you page for each product (4 total) that could be added to the shopping cart? Would that allow buyers to end up on my unique thank you page that I have created for for just these 4 products? Since the URL for the thank you page for these products aren’t competing against each other or against my other thank you page assigned to other products I’m hoping this will work.

Customers may buy any number of these 4 products and using buy now buttons won’t allow them to stay in my sales funnel until the end. If my idea won’t work, do you have any other suggestions?

Simply use the generic return URL for kind of setup. You can specify a generic return URL in the settings. You can use the email to send more product specific instruction (maybe the URL value of the page) to the customer. The following documentation explains how to use this feature:
