I would like to send emails to multiple customers, and each email would contain a unique encrypted download link for a single product. In other words, if there are 40 email recipients, there would be 40 different encrypted download links, all to the same product. I know that I can do this for a single email in the Admin Functions section, but is there a way to do that for multiple customers? Thank you!
September 2, 2021 at 3:46 pm #83624wzpModeratorWhat is the purpose of creating “40 links?” Please take a look at the WP eStore Download Now via Text Link Addon first, and see if that meets your needs. Each time the text link is clicked, a unique encrypted download link is created and redirected to.

September 3, 2021 at 7:25 am #83628rumin84SpectatorHi, Thanks for this response. Here is what I am trying to do. I have several back issues (pdfs) of my publication for sale digitally in my wpeStore. For people who would like to subscribe to a digital edition, I could send them an email each time a new issue comes out with an encrypted link to that issue. In other words, a pdf that is for sale as a back issue would also be provided to subscribers via an email link when it is first posted. If I have 40 subscribers, I would want to generate 40 different encrypted links (all to the same pdf) to paste into 40 different emails. These subscribers have paid for their subscription upfront and there is no recurring charge each time I send them an email. I can use the Admin Function area to generate those 40 different links, but wondered if there is a better way to make this happen.
I have read the download now via text and am not sure it will work in this circumstance for two reasons: I can’t mark the product as $0 since it has an associated price as a back issue; and what the plugin produces appears to be something to put on my website as opposed to a link to include with email. Am I correct about that?
Thanks, RuthSeptember 3, 2021 at 6:24 pm #83629adminKeymaster#1) I think the way to handle this would be to allow those customers to download the item themselves using the following process:
Once you set it up and the customer’s menu has the information of the customer for the product in question, the user can request the download which will generate an encrypted link and send it to them.
So you can just notify them that there item is ready for download and they can request the download from the page that you setup using the above addon.
#2) The alternative could be to setup that one particular product to have a high download count set for it. So for example, you can edit a product and set a download count limit of 100 for that product. Then, you can generate one encrypted download link and send that same link to the 40 or so customers and they can all download using that link. The link will still expire after that 48 hours of expiry time (or whatever time you set for the expiry). So it’s fine to have a higher download count for a product where you have this special condition.
