MemberI wonder if this is the right forum to ask this question.
I have 2 site that both I want to sell digital products downloads, I want payment to direct to 1 single paypal account. Since one paypal account can only drive 1 IPN script from 1 site. I wonder if there is any alternative or anyone has done something similar?
Thanks.

MemberHi, This should not be a problem, when the eStore send the sales information to Paypal it also tells it where to send the IPN for that sale. This way you can use your Paypal account for different sites and not lock it into just one store.

Ivy

ParticipantYes, you can use one single PayPal account to sell stuff from multiple sites as eStore will override the IPN sending URL at transaction time based on the site it is being used from.

MemberThank you for the answers.
So there is no settings change necessary at local eStore site?
April 26, 2010 at 11:08 pm #19697Ivy
MemberThere is no need to make a change to the URL for the IPN (The IPN setting will need to be turned on). The eStore will tell Paypal where to send the IPN. Please make sure to do a live test transaction with the debug turned on to make sure everything is working properly. You can read more about the debug here: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/how-and-when-to-enable-debug-and-what-does-it-do

MemberMore problem
When I go to Paypal to enable IPN without a link, it refuses to do so. Saying that I must have a URL to enable IPN.
Is this a paypal issue?

MemberHi, You can make this URL anything you need to as the eStore will override it and tell Paypal where to send the IPN for the eStore. This way you can use your IPN for multiple sites and do not need to lock your Paypal account to one store.

MemberThe main reason is because I wanted to run the new membership site via WordPress and am using a plug in that indeed does have a built in IPN to input, but the problem becomes that I don’t want people who sign up to the other “non IPN” routed membership site to not reach the return URL and be sent off to the IPN return for the second membership.
Does that even make sense? I don’t even know anymore. I’m so confused right now and have no idea what to do to make things work properly.

Participant@Tracy , I am not sure I quite follow your issue. Your problem seem to be different than what this thread is about. Please post a new post with your issue and we will take a look at it.
