Multiple Members with same email address

I have a situation where I have one person who is the contact for 3 membership locations. So, let’s say I create three ‘member locations’ – Company – Location A, Company – Location B, Company – Location C. However, John@company.com is the same contact for all three. In the system, you can only use one email per account.

Is there a work around outside maybe adding a custom field for emails?

No, it doesn’t work that way unfortunately. Each email address is what uniquely identifies that account.

The following example may help you understand why. Think of a membership account the same as an email account. So now ask yourself can you have 3 email accounts with the same email address? It kind of doesn’t work because when you want to refer to an account, which one are you really referring to (if there are multiple ones)
