Hi, a few issues have appeared since I last updated the plugin…
1. Watermark error: The images that were already uploaded prior to updating the plugin are displaying correct watermark. The images that I have uploaded after updating the plugin are displaying a huge magnified watermark. These two differing sizes of watermarks are happening within the same gallery, so I have ruled out that it is anything to do with the watermark settings
example: go to [www.photospastandpresent.co.uk] and click on the ‘Buses’ gallery and select the first image in the gallery. This image when viewed on the photo details page shows a correctly displaying watermark as per the watermark settings that I have set within the plugin.
Now if you click the pagination links at the bottom of the page until you get past page 20 or thereabouts, and repeat the same process, you will see that the watermark is displaying huge/magnified (to save you clicking through the pages, direct link to a photo display page after page 20 in the gallery: [http://photospastandpresent.co.uk/photos/?page_id=30&wpps_search=1&gallery_id=1&image_id=806]
2. Price List Error: The price list is not displaying the correct price in the cart section of the photo details page, eg; I have only one price list for all my products.
6×4 physical photo, set at ‘£1.49’ in price list – is displaying as ‘£1’ on photo details page
12×8 physical photo, set at ‘£6.99’ in price list – is displaying as ‘£7’ on photo details page
6×4 digital photo, set at ‘£0.99’ in price list – is displaying as ‘£1’ on photo details page
12×8 digital photo, set at ‘£3.99’ in price list – is displaying as ‘£4’ on photo details page
… this price display error is happening sitewide but seems to have happened after I last updated the plugin.
3. Search Results page errors:
a: If you run a search from anywhere on the site, ie, search for ‘exeter’, you will see that the contents of the results page are right up against the left side of the page with no border.
b: Also, on that results page, only thumbnail images are showing up with no title, whereas if you click on a gallery/category thumbnail on the home page, you get a results page displaying thumbnails complete with titles.
It seems like all these errors may have come about after the last plugin update?
Many thanks
David
January 7, 2015 at 11:49 pm #67860PeterMemberLet’s address your points one by one.
For the watermark what font size value have you set in your gallery settings?
We recently made an improvement to this so that the watermark is displayed proportionally for any resized image.
January 7, 2015 at 11:55 pm #67861soundmanMemberThanks Peter, here’s the watermak settings…
Watermark Text Opacity: 80
Watermark Text Placement: Centred
Watermarked Max Preview Dimension (px): 800
Watermark Font Size (px): 240
January 8, 2015 at 12:18 am #67862PeterMemberOk great that confirms my suspicion. Can you please change the “Watermark Font Size” to something smaller – I recommend 48 or 50. After you save your gallery the plugin will detect that a watermark config item has changed and it will automatically kick off the watermarking process in the background and recreate the watermarked images. (The plugin will also give you a link to view the status of the process)
I recommend that you wait for the system to finish the watermarking before trying to view the pages.

Regarding your second point: “Price List Error”
Can you go to the settings -> Advanced Settings page and check the value of “Decimal Places” in the price display settings. Set this to “2” if it isn’t.

Regarding the search page results display:
Do the following and it should fix the display to look nicer:
1) Go and grab the following plugin:
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-custom-css-plugin-6413
2) Then add the following CSS code in the settings of the above plugin:
.wpps-search-page-wrapper{
margin: 0 auto;
width: 65%;

Just one last thing, the thumbnails that are displayed on the results page after running a search are not displaying a title, just displaying the thumbnail. I can live with this but just want to make sure that it’s not an error?

That’s the way the search results template is designed to display, so don’t worry there is no issue there.
January 8, 2015 at 12:58 am #67865soundmanMemberOk, many thanks for the solutions Peter.
