I am using the “After Registration Page” feature of eMember. I have two membership levels: Free and Premium. With this feature enabled, both Free and Premium members are redirected to the same “After Registration Page.”
Is there any way to have two different After Registration Pages? (One for my Free Membership and another for my Premium?)
I would like to redirect Free members to a Premium Membership “One-Time Offer” page after registration occurs (to upsell them on the benefits of upgrading to my Premium membership.) So I only want them to see this page one time–immediately after registration (otherwise I would use the “Redirect After Login” field.)
The plugin doesn’t know which membership level a member belongs to unless the member logs into the site. So it can’t do a membership level specific redirection properly until the user logs in as a member.
You can maybe do the following to achieve a similar result. Enable the auto login after registration feature. Which means the user will always get logged into the site automatically after the registration which will trigger the after login redirection. So the members of free level will go to the page you specify as the after login page for that level. Premium members will go to a completely different page after they register and gets logged into their account.
The following documentation has info on how the after login redirection works:
Okay. I had considered something similar; however, I don’t want to bug my free members every time they log in with the “one time offer.” I really only want them to see the offer one time. I’ll just have to find another point in the process to present the offer. If you think of any other way of doing it please let me know. Thanks for your help.
