Hi,
I am running multi site. Yesterday a user that is currently a user on one of our sites, registered for membership on a second site on the multi-site installation.
Their payment was proceed via Paypal, a user created, but they had no username with their profile. I was also unable to update the email address.
I have deleted the new WP-emember user, and when I went to set it up, I got the error. Email:The email address you are using is already taken!
Please choose a different email address. .
I have definitely deleted all instances of this user from this site installation. However, the user exists as a WP-emember AND WordPress user on another site installation.
Is it possible to have a user with the same email address, registered on separate site installations? Because if it is, I guess there is some other issue at play….

WordPress MS doesn’t let you create multiple users with the same email address if that address exists in the network. However, the user can be assigned to multiple blogs in the network. We have recently made some changes to eMember plugin around this WordPress Multi-site user assignment that should help. Please get a new build of the eMember plugin from here:

Try and create this user account after the update.
