I’ve gone through the posts regarding mp3 links showing zero bytes. I double checked what I have and my entry is correct.
I went through the Upload File button in the Digital Product URL and did the Insert into Post at the end. When I just take the URL it popped into the field, it plays properly.
As I go through the purchase process (I’m using the .01 per product option) I get a URL in an email but the download is zero bytes.
Thank you for your assistance,
One more thing-when I click View from the Media Library screen, I can play it just fine…
December 12, 2011 at 7:45 pm #39558wzpModeratorStart by enabling the debug logs, and then reset the log files. Then using the Admin Functions, generate a test link and attempt a download. Then look in the download_manager_debug.log file. We are specifically checking for proper resolution of the DL file path, dispatching of the download method, and a download comp, etion status. Please pay particular attention to the possibility of a dispatch, but no completion status being reported.
Also, how large is the file you are trying to download?
December 12, 2011 at 7:49 pm #39559RosySue21MemberThey are both around 17MB I’ll see if I can figure out the debug logs…

How do I enable the debug logs?
December 12, 2011 at 7:59 pm #39561wzpModeratorUnder the eStore General Settings panel, there is a section dealing with debug logs.
December 12, 2011 at 8:01 pm #39562RosySue21MemberOK – found the debug and reset. I’ll do the test run again.
December 12, 2011 at 8:09 pm #39563RosySue21Memberfirst line shows unresolved DL path
2nd line shows resolved DL path
And below is the 3rd and 4th lines…
[12/12/2011 8:04 PM] – Status : Dispatching DL method = 1
[12/12/2011 8:04 PM] – SUCCESS : DL completed with no server-side errors detected.
That’s what the DL line shows (8:04 even though it’s really 2:04 here).
Anyway, it still is giving me a zero bytes file.
December 12, 2011 at 8:20 pm #39564wzpModeratorI’m concerned that there seems to be less than a minute between when the DL gets dispatched, and the completion status.
Under the Addon Settings panel, there is a section dealing with Download Methods. Try selecting different methods. Also, the default method is 2, so I am also wondering why the log file shows 1. Did you already try changing the download method?
Are you running any caching plugins?
December 13, 2011 at 7:09 pm #39565RosySue21MemberI looked into the Download Method and this is what it shows: (Default) Method 1, Fopen-8K
I will try another method. It sounds like I can work my way through all of them except maybe #7. so will verify.
As for Caching plugins – I have W3 Total Cache. Is there anything I should be doing differently with that?
Will update you as I try things.
December 13, 2011 at 7:15 pm #39566wzpModeratorPlease disable the cache plugin, when you perform your tests; so that we can determine if that is contributing to the problem.
