More of an e-commerce look and feel

Not sure if buried somewhere someone has already posed this question but if someone is directed to the products page I would like the page to display a list of categories and sub categories of products on one of the sidebars with the ability when you click on one of them to have the products display in the content area on that page. Then the visitor would have access to all of the products from that page. How might one go about setting that up??

WP eStore takes a different approach than the traditional e-Commerce plugin for showing products and stuff. This is explained here:
