I currently only create 1 off digital products for sale. I want to now offer upsells and downsells.
Can I offer access to single products purchased or products and their upsells/downsells in the member area?
I’d like to have the buyer come to the member area to access their products with an option to download them. I would like them to have access to a secure page in the member site which will house audio, video content, etc. Is that possible?
Is there a page that will show the member all of their purchases (order history) and download links?
Can I use my custom Active Campaign integration plugin (created for WP eStore) with this?
July 27, 2016 at 9:29 pm #73812myanceyMemberIs there a way to restrict content on my site to only those users who have purchased my products. If a user has not purchased the required product, they will be unable to view restricted content and will be shown a message instead, telling them they must purchase the product.
July 28, 2016 at 6:33 am #73813adminKeymasterYou should be able to do that. However you will need to set it up accordingly.
I feel that you haven’t really went through all the documentation of the plugin. So you have some confusion maybe.
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/
It is really important that you go through the documentation which will help you understand how the plugin works then you can use the features of the plugin to setup your scenario. This is not going to be like “show me one button that I click and everything happens”.
July 28, 2016 at 11:38 am #73814myanceyMemberI appreciate your words. And you’re correct – I have not seen this doc page (only the sales page which has limited info).
But I need to know that the plugin can do what I want/need it to do BEFORE I buy it! That is why I am asking all this and need a straight answer.
I’ll read the doc, but I’m not sure it will answer all of my questions – especially since “This is not going to be like “show me one button that I click and everything happens”.”
Thanks.
July 28, 2016 at 8:22 pm #73815myanceyMemberOkay, I have read through the eMember doc and then some.
I still have questions though:
1) If I do not set the member expiration to never/cancel, and instead set an expiry of 1 year (as done by Richard Stibbard of Build online learning course), does this automatically renew after 1 year?
2) Can I create secure download links on protected pages? How?
If I do NOT enable “Only Logged In Members Can Checkout”,
3a) is there another way for them to register on Member site after purchase?
3b) and the buyer is already a member, will the purchase be connected to their member account (show on the list of all their purchased products)?
4) How do I use my Active Campaign Addon (created by you guys) with eMember? Will it work simply by being installed on the site with eMember?
5) How do I set up for refunds if I have WP eStore and WP eMember working together (want to refund product and disable their access to product in member area)?
Thank you.
July 29, 2016 at 4:09 am #73816adminKeymaster1) If you use a subscription payment button with yearly payment then yeah the account will renew after 1 year. The following post has good info for you:
2) The following documentation explains how to create members only download option:
3a) They will register for a basic account before the checkout (if you want members only checkout option). The 2nd and 3rd option of the following documentation has explanation of how that registration flow works:
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/a-typical-member-registration-flow-96
3b) Yes.
4) When a user purchase the eStore product (which is a membership product), they will get signed up to your ActiveCampagin account (according to your eStore ActiveCampaign addon setup). Alternatively, we can also create an ActiveCampaign addon for eMember also.
5) When you issue a refund, the member account get deactivated automatically. The following post has good info on this:

July 29, 2016 at 9:41 am #73817myanceyMemberThank you so much for taking the time and care to answer these!
I do have another question:
1) I was thinking that I have to set up a membership level for all of my digital products (level named after product) in eMember (which would really be a lot!), Is that correct or is there another way to have buyers access, via the member area, ONLY the products that they purchased AND still have the purchased products in their BUY HISTORY?
Thanks.
July 30, 2016 at 4:33 am #73818adminKeymasterThat depends on your setup.
In eMember we use the concept of membership level to determine what content a member can see (or not see).
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/how-to-add-a-membership-level-in-wp-emember-13
eMember doesn’t care about eStore product. A member will see content based on his/her membership level. How you assign what membership level to a user is what you need to figure out based on your requirement.
If you have a page called “Page A” that has 5 download buttons. You then restrict access of page A to members of membership level A. Any member with level A will have access to that page and be able to download all those 5 items from the page.
July 30, 2016 at 5:01 am #73819myanceyMemberOkay. I understand that, which is why I said that I could set up a membership level for EACH of my digital products (level named after product) in eMember.
My question is – Is that the only option for what I am trying to do (have buyers access, via the member area, ONLY the products that they purchased AND still have the purchased products in their BUY HISTORY)?
July 31, 2016 at 4:02 am #73820adminKeymasterYes that is the only option.
