Support site for Tips and Tricks HQ premium products

Hi I wonder if you can help me, please?
I am creating a membership site where the person registering for membership must purchase an item off-site before membership can be activated. The purchase is for my client’s copyright material which is administered by another, dedicated publishing company. Is there a way to set up wp-eMember or wp-eCart (I have both) to enable the purchase off-site and return once that payment has been made?
Thanks for your help.
Kind regards,
Ken
…the person registering for membership must purchase an item off-site before membership can be activated.
What we have here is a model, in which a person:
1. Purchases an item (copyrighted material).
2. Presents some kind of “Proof of Purchase.”
3. Receives a “Premium,” in the form of a free membership.
So, how difficult the project becomes hinges on this question…
How much automation does the client want in verifying the Proof of Purchase?
Because if the material is only 250 copies of something printed off the “vanity press,” all that’s required is to have purchasers email a copy of their receipt to the site administrator; who then manually creates the memberships.
On the other hand, if the material is a library collection; then an automated solution is more justified.
Thanks very much, that’s really helpful. Presenting proof of purchase is probably the way to go – I’ll get back to my client.
I appreciate the speed of reply – such great support here!
