Hi there, My members are not able to post a comment on the blog posts.

In e-mamber settings members have global access to pages, categories, posts and comments.

In general settings the categories and posts are all generally protected.

In the member settings they have access to categories and posts.

In e-member settings I have the following box checked:

Members Must be Logged in to Comment Check this option if you only want to allow the members of the site to be able to post a comment.

When my members are logged in, they can see the posts, but when they try to comment, they are taken to a WP-login and asked to login again via wordpress.

What do you suggest I do?

In e-members settings, I do NOT have this box checked:

    Protect Comments Separately:

By default all the comments on a post that is protected are also protected. If you want to individually protect each comment then check this option and protect the comments individually from the Manage Content Protection menu.

I assumed this means that all comments on my protected posts are then protected so outsiders can’t see them. But does this somehow make it so the members can’t comment?

Your understanding is correct. I will take a look inside your site and check the settings. I have sent you an email for it.

OK. I sent you the form last night. It seems like it should be a simple fix though. It must be a word press setting in e-member that I need to select, or unselect … please respond as soon as you’re able.

Hi, You had the following option checked in your WordPress Settings -> Discussions settings.

Users must be registered and logged in to comment

I have turned it off as you will be controlling the access via the membership plugin settings.

    That fixed the issue.
