Members can see my password protected material when searching my website.

For some reason members can see my password protected material if the use the “search my website” box on my website. I did not realize it until a few days later.

By “Password protected material” do you mean posts or pages that you have protected using eMember? Please post a link to your web page and explain what I can do to reproduce this.
