Member subscription – also appears in cart??

Hi

As I understand it, you cannot add a suscription to the shopping cart?

That being the case, I set up a join page and added a button to it using the shortcode. Click on that, goes to paypal for subscription, works fine.

The problem is, I also sell other products, and I have set-up a products page. The membership also shows on that products page. When you click the buy button it adds membership to the shopping cart!

How can membership not appear on the products page?

Sorry for all the questions but this integration is a lot tougher than I expected, and it does not help that a lot of the questions are asked and answered across a ton of different pages and posts around the site, plus in manuals, guides, help pages and the forum!

Thinking about it, this also means any download products I want to give to members only via a link on a protected page will also appear on the products page??

Ok, I think I have sussed it, and its a it more complex than I realised. It appears rather than having the all products short code on the products page, I need to categorize products and then paste individual category shortcodes I want to display on that page.

So, its solved.
