Tagged: comma in address, csv export error, eMember
I have just updated the plugin to the latest version and noticed that the export fields are expanded as I had been asking for, thank you. However, an export to Excel resulted in the following error message on the top two rows:
<b>Warning</b>: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in <b>C:Inetpubvhostspsri.ushttpdocspsricmswp-contentpluginswp-eMemberwp_eMember1.php</b> on line <b>839</b>
And there are some records with unusual entries, like dates in membership type. Some fields seem to have shifted due to a comma in the address field. I reported this problem before and suggested that all the export fields might be enclosed in quotes and then separated by commas. It is impossible for use to prevent people from entering commas in their addresses, especially if they legitimately belong there.
Is the above error message possibly related to this problem? How can I make sure that we can get member lists exported properly? Could this change be made a part of the plugin code to prevent similar errors in the future?
Thank you.
Cemal
Update:
I edited the member records where they had a comma in the address field. I either deleted them or changed them to a semicolon, that fixed the field shift. However, I am still getting the error message I reported in the previous post. I “seem to” have all the records but I am not sure at this point.
Thanks,
Cemal
One more related question, why do some members have a subscriber ID and others do not?
Cemal
I will look into the comma issue. The subscriber ID is used to identify recurring payment from that user. If a member is not paying a recurring payment then that field will be empty.
I do not have recurring payments set up intentionally. Is that something the subscribers can choose on their own?
Cemal
If you are not using recurring payment then you don’t need to pay attention to that “Subscriber ID” field.
