I recently purchased eMember and have watched videos and read documentation. One question I need help with is this. I provide content (similar to PLR content) on a membership site with new content added and available once each month. What is the best way to set up so that a person who joins this month does not have access to all of the content for the last 6 months or so? as you know they could then easily copy all of the content for the last 6 or 12 month period and then cancel)
One procedure I thought of was to to integrate with my autoresponder (which is GR) and send out an email once a month when the new content is ready. That way, when a person first signs up as a member, they will receive the 1st email with a link for the content for the 1st month. The next month they will receive an email with a link for the content for that month. Each of the links would be set up as a separate download page through eMember. This might work but it seems a little cumbersome. Does eMember provide a better or more simple way to solve this issue?
Thanks – Bob M

As the member gets upgraded to the next level month after month he/she will be able to access the downloads based on the permissions you have set for these 12 pages.
eMember will only signup the member to your AWeber list and thats it. Your AWeber’s followup sequence takes it from there (eMember will not do anything else with AWeber).
You can click on your profile (click the “member” link under your username). Your profile page will list all the posts you have started and commented on.
March 30, 2011 at 5:09 pm #28308casstysonMemberI also am delivering fresh content each month, and will use auto upgrade with a new page for each month’s content. But if I understand correctly, the drip feature releases the content not based on payment received, but on time passed. IOW, if recurring billing is set for 30 days, but the fresh content is available after 28, the new content could be visible to the auto-upgraded member 2 days before their payment hits.
Or am I over complicating things?
March 30, 2011 at 5:10 pm #28309casstysonMemberTo clarify, I really want the content restricted until after the recurring payment goes through. Is that possible?
March 31, 2011 at 12:41 am #28310amin007ParticipantIf you have the recurring billing interval set to 30 days then all you have to do is set your auto upgrade interval to 30 days too. Remember, the auto upgrade stuff works based on the number of days from the signup date (so you don’t have to worry about how many days in each month and stuff like that). The recurring billing works the same way too (it will charge the customer every 30 days… doesn’t matter what month it is). Is that simple enough for you?
April 26, 2011 at 4:55 pm #28311williMemberHi, I’m having problems with the setting of emember, estore and aweber:
I have a global list for all members who work because I set in the emember the list name is in setting “Enable AWeber Signup:>listname
I would also like to associate a special list with aweber of the customer who bought the subscription. for that, I have the list name written in the product menu
********* here:
“List Name
The name of the list where the customers of this product will be signed up to (example: “listname@aweber.com” if you are using Aweber or “sample_marketing” if you are using GetResponse or “My Customers”if you are using MailChimp ). You can find the list / campaign name inside your autoresponder account. Use this if you want the customer of this product to be signed up to a specific list.
*********
I also clicked on aweber parser settings “Enable parser for all lists in this account. but the label disappears after loading. : (
do you know somthing
willi
April 27, 2011 at 12:04 am #28312amin007ParticipantI was informed that AWeber has a bug in their “Enable parser for all lists in this account” checkbox. They are working on fixing it but if you check it once and save it then it is suppose to work correctly.
