Hi,
So far I’m batting under .200. I have searched this and the fixes didn’t resolve my issue that I could find.
When I set up my download file I didn’t do it in the plugin folder. I picked a top level directory, copied the 3 files to keep it protected & I still get the plugin link showing on delivery.
When the link gets emailed the link comes up http://mysite.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/download.php?file=MOl36ohud6Ht9QoD . It then says Requested File Could Not Be Found.
I eventually want to have my media files on a different server where I get unlimited transfer/ storage for cheap. Can I do this once I figure what I did wrong above?
May 31, 2010 at 11:10 pm #21116IvyMemberHi, If you paste the non encrypted link in the browser does it work fine?
Cheers,
Ivy
June 1, 2010 at 12:52 am #21117GuruJMemberIt does when I don’t use the 3 files for security index, htaccess, htpasswd. When I ad those back (I cut & paste them from the default file you provided, I never changed them though.) When the link shows up it shows the default file not the the file I had changed the link to.
I double checked the link for the mp3 productid & it was right.
June 1, 2010 at 1:17 am #21118IvyMemberHi, I will need to take a closer look at this. I have sent you an email requesting site access. Can you please remove the “3 files for security index” while I work on this. Some servers have issues with these files.
Cheers,
Ivy
June 1, 2010 at 5:09 pm #21119okgoodMemberMy server has the same issue. I have had to remove the two files to get the download to work.
June 2, 2010 at 12:32 am #21120GuruJMemberI have been able to make it work when I remove the .htaccess file.
How important is that file to my security? I know I don’t want google showing it to the world…….
Do you still need access?
thanks.

June 2, 2010 at 12:58 pm #21122hunterMemberI was browsing around the forum and got to this thread , its feels great when People are sharing information with eachother so that others can learn. Keep this going ever.
June 2, 2010 at 1:20 pm #21123absoidahoMemberI have my media in a different directory than the “downloads” folder, and I do not have the two security files in the directory of the media. But the encrypted link in the e-mail does not work. Does any one have any ideas on how to fix this?
June 2, 2010 at 1:23 pm #21124absoidahoMemberAlso when I use the Admin Functions page, to generate an encrypted download link. The link does not work. I have double checked the link in the product page and it works. So I have a feeling it has some thing to do with my data base not rendering things properly.
June 2, 2010 at 1:46 pm #21125IvyMemberHi, Do you happen to have spaces in the name of your file?

June 2, 2010 at 1:47 pm #21126amin007ParticipantWhat error do you get? Did you check this page?

June 2, 2010 at 4:41 pm #21127absoidahoMemberWhen I first tested the link after a buyer said it was not working was “invalid link”. So the first thing I did was to go back to the URL of the product and make sure it was correct, which it was and loaded fine Shan placed in a browser. I have done everything spoken of in that artical and it is still not working, and it is not just one product. None of the products can be downloaded by an incrypted URL.
Thanks for the help,
~Hans
June 3, 2010 at 12:01 am #21128IvyMemberHi, There was a bug from a new feature in eStore that was causing this. I sent out emails to everyone that had purchase or upgraded the plugin during this time. I will send you a new version as it should fix this problem.
