Tagged: directory structure, mask, security
I am selling a pay per view product and created a page with an Apple Quicktime generated page for streaming the video. The html code does NOT reveal the location of the directory. When the customer purchases the digital content they get the email with the link. The shopping cart link masks the address in the URL field of the browser which is good.
However, it appears the mask.php file is creating a link in the page where the entire directory structure is revealed. One simply has to “Inspect Element” and there in the html is the tag <base href=”the entire directory”>.
The link is not in the original html file nor is it in the source when the file is accessed directly in the browser. This completely defeats the whole purchase of generating a code to hide all of that information. How do I fix this?
Use the “New” PPV method…
