I have recently activated the affiliate program and am preparing to do my first mass payout. What I discover is that, of the three people and five entries, ONLY the two that were processed via their affiliate link are showing up in the payout schedule. The remaining items I manually entered via my dashboard for each of the product sales are not. I would like to pay them all.
I’m obviously missing something. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Beth
October 10, 2011 at 11:22 pm #37491adminKeymasterThe mass payout option is for paying via PayPal so if an affiliate profile does not have the “PayPal Email Address” specified then it will ignore the commissions for those profiles. Do you have the PayPal email address field filled for the affiliates that you manually awarded commission to? You can edit their profile and check the “PayPal Email Address” field.

Now that I’ve revisited it, most of them already had the email address in their PayPal field. As I’ve filled in the “blanks” and reprocessed it, it still doesn’t want to recognize those who have commissions coming to them that I manually entered commissionable sales. Still on the hunt for a fix; any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! ~ Beth
October 24, 2011 at 10:49 pm #37493adminKeymasterThe other thing to check would be the date values. Can you please verify that when you manually added the commissions, the date values were entered in the “yyyy-mm-dd” format? Also, do the manually entered commission dates fall inside the date range that you are choosing for the commission payout report?
October 27, 2011 at 12:32 am #37494bethneibertMemberYes and… yes. All dates are properly entered. Remember, I have one affiliate who is showing up on the report who is being paid out because their link was used. The others were manually entered and not showing up on the report. All of the payouts should have occurred in the same exact week. I’ve checked and double checked; sorry if this sounds a bit frustrating, but it is for me as I’d love to pay them using the system process and I’m 2 weeks late on the September rewards. You can imagine the calls I’m getting.
I’m using a Premium StudioPress theme (don’t know if that makes a difference) and I’m not a programmer (don’t speak HTML). Thanks again for your effort to help! ~ Beth

October 29, 2011 at 5:51 am #37496bethneibertMemberI responded to your email, but I just discovered the root of the problem and have successfully paid out all of my affiliate commissions! YEA!
I neglected to notice that the UserID I was entering on the manually entered pay outs was slightly different than the actual UserID of the affiliate records. I guess it’s key that ALL MUST MATCH PERFECTLY.
Thanks for your suggestions; now we have one more solution to share with others. Here’s to your success! ~ Beth Neibert / http://bethneibert.com
