Manual Payment Option redirecting to PayPal

Hi, We wish to use the “Use Manual Payment Option” only. We do not wish to use any other payment methods.

After adding item/s to cart we are directed to the checkout.

When we click checkout we are redirected to the PayPal page.

Our understanding is that the user should be redirected to a thank you page (which we have inserted in the “Return URL”) field and receive an email confirming purchase.

The PayPal option IS NOT TICKED. Are we missing something?

@Bella, can you please uncheck the “Enable Fancy Redirection On Checkout” option from the settings and tell me what happens after that.
