Manual Checkout Thank You Page

I’m using the manual checkout and would like to have the success page to redirect to another page. Currently, it automatically redirects to the home page.

I’ve added a URL where it asks for:

Return URL

This is the URL the customer will be redirected to after a successful payment. Enter the URL of your Thank You page here.

But it does not work. It seems to only work after a completed payment in PayPal and not through the manual checkout.

Please advise.
