September 21, 2010 at 1:40 am #1886Marion MemberHello, my client would like to make some of the fields mandatory on the registration form..where can I edit this? Also, he has pointed out that ” For example, if I go to the subscription page and enter no data in the name and email fields, it still gives you a thanks for subscribing message, rather than saying “you need to enter a valid email address” or whatever. “ This is the subscription from for Free Members. Can we have a message such as ÿou need to enter a valid email address..if the fields are not filled out? It seems to be a validation issue? thanks again September 21, 2010 at 3:07 am #24612amin007 ParticipantThe email address is mandatory and should not allow you register if you don’t enter one. Can you please post a link to the “Registration Page”? What version of the eMember are you using? September 21, 2010 at 3:18 am #24613Marion Memberhere is the link to the initial form http://www.newsite.knightcraft.com/subscribe I am using version 5.6.5 according to the Emember dashboard thankyou September 21, 2010 at 3:29 am #24614Marion MemberAnd also here is a link to the actual registration form http://www.newsite.knightcraft.com/register?member_id=31&code=a5d37e75a0df3fc2b5dbcefeffd3d585 September 21, 2010 at 4:04 am #24615amin007 ParticipantThanks for the link. This is the free membership email confirmation form not the actual registration form. I will put an email address check on this form. I will send you an email with the updated build of eMember. September 21, 2010 at 4:31 am #24616Marion MemberThankyou. Can you please tell me which files have been updated as I have edited some of the emember files (such as commenting out registration fields) and do not want to overwrite these. Also is there a way of making the fields on the actual registration form mandatory? September 21, 2010 at 5:17 am #24617amin007 ParticipantI continously add new features to this plugin so it is impossible for me to tell you the exact changes between the version you were using and the current build. You can customize which fields appear on the “Registration” and “Edit Profile” fields from the “Pages Settings” menu so no need to manually comment out fields.
