Make some text or an image appear when an item is added?

Thanks for the Awesome plugin!

I have a narrow sidebar so I might not be able to use the “sidebar widget”.

I would like to have an image appear in my sidebar when something is added to the cart.

Is there a way I could have a link or image appear in the sidebar that says something like “Items in cart” or a “cart total” ? This would then link to my CART page.

I saw a post where you mention adding a function to “wp_shopping_cart.php” to display a cart total- Unfortunately, I don’t really know php so I don’t know where to put “echo simple_cart_total();” to get it to display.

Do I just add the line: echo simple_cart_total(); where ever I want it to display?

I’m using the Thesis Theme so I would be adding something to the custom_functions.php file.

Hi Jimmy, you can use the “Compact Cart” option in the settings menu which displays a compact version of the shopping cart in the widget. Let me know if this helps.

I don’t see a “compact cart” option in the settings.

Is that in the latest version?

I’m using Simple Paypal Shopping Cart v 2.8
