[Resolved] Mailchimp not adding email address

    WP eMember – Dashboard v10.3.6
    WordPress 5.7.2 running Colinear theme.
    Website: emem1.argensoc.org/join

    The log (below) shows that eMember gets the correct List ID (c75c3c932b) as shown in the Mailchimp admin pages. However, the log says “returned value: pending” and the email address is not added. The only required field in the Mailchimp list is the email address.

    That “pending” response is from the MailChimp API. You need to ask MailChimp why signups to your mailchimp account is going to “pending” state. They should be able to look at your account’s configuration, status and the list to tell you why.

    I turned on the “Disable Double Opt-In” and the problem went away. Not sure why I didn’t get the Opt-In email that Mailchimp should have sent, but no need to waste time on that now — it is working.
