    Hi there,

I love this plugin but at the moment having a few problems which I’m hoping you might be able to help with.

The site I’m building sells digital products so buyers will get an email with the download link. This is all working fine (using amazon S3)…

I have also started using the Mailchimp autoresponder and for some reason this is stopping the buyer emails coming through (I think). The log files tell me the email has been sent and I’ve checked with our IT guy and he was pretty sure no emails from that server were being junked. I’ve tried variations all day, sometimes I get the buyer email, someimes not. In the last couple of hours it seems if I disable the Mailchimp autoresponder I get the buyer email (with download link) BUT I need to get both working. :-)

Happy to provide any info you might need and access to the site if necessary.

So to summarise, I’m getting the following emails with Mailchimp enabled:

    PayPal: Confirmation of payment

    Seller: Notification of payment

Mailchimp: Subscription Email (with opt in link)

    NO BUYER EMAIL

    & with Mailchimp disabled:

    PayPal: Confirmation of payment

    Seller: Notification of payment

Buyer: Thanks for your purchase (with download link)

The log files say everything was a success!

UPDATE: I changed the paypal test email I was using to a hotmail one and Im getting all the emails fine. I’m not sure why this is the case, maybe something to do with the email address I was previously using (for the test buyer) being on the same domain? Anyway, if its working perfectly using a hotmail account then I guess there is something going on with our server. Would you think this makes sense?

My Google apps gmail account is also problematic and haven’t received any ‘buyer’ emails when testing with that email address.

As far as the plugin is concerned it sent all the emails fine. Some server’s do have restrictions on sending email where the “From” and “To” address are the same. Also, it is possible that your server is not routing the email that you created with david@your-domain.com because there are multiple emails being sent to the same address at the same time. This post has more details on this:

Just as an update, I think its more or less sorted now, at any rate, the issue was nothing to do with the eStore plugin. Many thanks.
