Tagged: mailchimp group
I’ve read through this post several times:
As I understand it, if you have a group set up with each of your products, when a customers first product is product a, he can be added to group a (based on the list name set up for that product of course). Then, if he later buys product b, he will be added to group b. When I tested it, the customer started with group a, but group b REPLACED group a instead of adding to it.
Is this how it is currently set up or have I missed something.
My current setup is to have in each products settings: List Name | Group Name | Product Name and I would simply want the newly purchased product added in the group so that if a person purchased product a AND product b, they would have group a and group b.
Hope this makes sense. BTW, I am trying to decide between using Aweber and MailChimp, before I get too deep in either one, hence the questions about both.
Thanks,
Robert
Mailchimp has changed thing up a lot in their newest API. The old API is being deprecated. I will be upgrading eStore’s MailChimp integration to use their newest API soon. Then I will have a good idea of how they are handling things in the new API and what I can do.
Thanks. I’m sure it’s difficult to keep up with vendors API changes.
