It’s great that you have added support for MailChimp in the autoresponder section, thanks for that! I’ve been working with MailChimp a lot this week and they are so much better than Aweber (and free for up to 500 subscribers to boot). So I really appreciate that you support them.
Only thing I’m trying to figure out, is there a way to set them up in the Settings > Autoresponder Settings to work with a segmented list – adding customers to a specific segment?
MailChimp is a bit different, they encourage you to have all your subscribers in one list if possible. They support segmentation really well. But it means that if I add a customer to a list, they won’t belong to a segment until I go in and do it manually. I was wondering if there is a way to add them directly to a segment, or if not, can that be added to the features wishlist?
Thanks,
donna

March 17, 2010 at 4:26 pm #18767WebDiMemberI have a question relating to this.
I would like to be able to update a particular field within my mailchimp list upon an estore purchase, specifically a purchase date. Is this possible through the estore integration at this time or do I need to do this on my own with a cron job?
March 17, 2010 at 11:18 pm #18768amin007ParticipantI can tell you where in the eStore code is signs up the customer with MailChimp. You can then modify the code a bit and add the date field (this requires PHP knowledge though).
December 5, 2011 at 11:41 pm #18769BizOfLifeMemberSide-question: Am I limited to one mailchimp list or can I load multiple lists? (i.e. can I load to both a general customers list and a list that is specific to a particular product or category?
December 6, 2011 at 12:34 am #18770PeterMemberHi, You can reference as many mailchimp lists as you wish. That is, you can specify a global list in your settings page to add everyone there and/or you can add them to a specific list on a per product basis (you can specify a list name on a per product basis by editing the product in question).
December 7, 2011 at 10:17 pm #18771BizOfLifeMemberIs it possible to set the auto-responder to a group within a larger list?
Basically asking if I can direct the mailchimp autoresponder to a ‘group’ for each product that feeds into a master ‘customers’ list.
July 23, 2012 at 6:03 pm #18772colinchristopherMemberLooking for information for mailchimp groups. Mailchimp has groups within each list. How do we set up the wp-estore individual product to sign up in the main list but segregated into the group in that list. ie. “WEBSITELIST1” is default place to sign up. “PRODUCT1” is an individual group in that list. When buyer gets product1 they need to be signed up to “PRODUCT1” group under “WEBSITELIST1”
For multiple websites and multiple products grouping products under a specific list for each website is much easier to manage vs. having a separate list for each product.
July 24, 2012 at 5:25 am #18773adminKeymastereStore doesn’t have an option to add to a group. It can only add to a specific list.
July 26, 2012 at 6:33 pm #18774colinchristopherMemberIs this something that is in development? With multiple websites and multiple lists this would be a very useful function to take advantage of full mailchimp functionality.
March 3, 2013 at 7:07 pm #18775mariusdMemberBump. I also would like to see this functionality in eMember, in fact it is pretty much essential for me. Mailchimp’s autoresponders work on the groups/segments within a list.
March 17, 2014 at 6:13 am #18776pinetribeMemberHas there been any update on the possibility of adding customers for different products to different groups within a MailChimp list?
Alternatively, would it be possible to edit the code so that it adds the product name as an ‘interest’ in MailChimp, or adds the product name in a text field in the list? That would make it fairly easy to then add segments to a group to use the Groups functionality in MailChimp.
