When logging in as an affiliate, I’m running into an odd error. Once I log in as an affiliate, the site always redirects to this welcome page:
wp-content/plugins/wp-affiliate-platform/affiliates/index.php
as opposed to the dashboard. Any advice? Is this a common problem as it happened right out of the box, didn’t see anything in the forums?
July 9, 2013 at 12:23 am #56485wpCommerceModeratorHi, When a user is logging in via the affiliate login widget, it will redirect to the affiilate’s welcome page (their dashboard).
Do you have a test affiliate account that I can use to login as an affiliate and see the behavior? Please provide the URL of your site too.
July 9, 2013 at 4:50 pm #56486AffMemberMy understanding is that, upon logging in, the user should be taken to the members-only.php page that loads a snapshot of their sales data, etc. The welcome page they are being taken to asks them to register or log in (which they just did) and therefore is redirecting improperly.
I’ve had my hosting company test this and they can’t seem to reproduce the error. I know that sometimes if you refresh the page it’ll work and sometimes it won’t (which is why i thought it was a hosting issue, given that they cache aggressively, but upon further testing, they can’t figure much of anything out).
Here’s the affiliate site:

username: test_affiliate
pw: affpass
Here’s the URL for my site: [http://djcoursesonline.com]
July 10, 2013 at 12:37 am #56487adminKeymasterHi, Yes the affiliate login operation is not working correctly on your site. The PHP session is not saving and loading data correctly on this server (at least not for the standalone PHP scripts).
I want to do another test. Please do what the 2nd option on the following page tells you to do:
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-affiliate/setting-up-the-affiliate-viewarea-315
Then share the URL of the page where you have done it so I can do my test.

Thanks,
July 11, 2013 at 1:54 am #56489adminKeymasterThank you. My suspicion about your PHP session not working for standalone script was correct.
You will see that the affiliate login process works correctly for this 2nd method. I would say keep using this 2nd method and you are good to go.
