I tried finding info on this in the forum but came up empty with the searches I tried. Is there a way to limit trial signups to one per email address or one per paypal account? I have a subscription based service with a two week free trial but there does not seem to be anything preventing users from just signing up for multiple trials over and over. Obviously I can monitor this manually, but that would be a lot of work with my site. Thanks for any tips.
Okay. WP eMember has a restriction by default which is the following
You can only have one member account per email address. So your users won’t be able to create multiple accounts with the same email address.
Right, which is ok, but I am more concerned about them signing up, using the trial, canceling a day before it ends, then resigning up for the trial a few days later. How can we prevent that?
If they cancel the subscription then they are not a paying customer anymore so they should be able to subscribe again. Are you saying you want the following?
If someone pays me for a subscription/payment then do not accept any more payment from him in the future?Btw, users can’t create a new account every time they make the payment. Since this user already has an account it will simply re activate the account. If you see someone doing this too many times you can just block that person’s IP address.
