I have WP Lightbox Ultimate 2.1.1 and Flowplayer HTML5 1.10.7 installed, and I was expecting Lightbox Ultimate to start using the newer player, but it seems to still be using the older free player that is included with Lightbox Ultimate. Is there a way to force Lightbox Ultimate to use the newer Flowplayer, and especially to support the expanded styling available with full Flowplayer? I am especially interested in changing the color of the controls, as the white against my white videos doesn’t work so well.
And, with Flowplayer 6 on the horizon, will that be supported by Lightbox Ultimate as well?
Thanks!
Gordon
Hi, It was just released last week which means there will be a lot of potential bugs. We will eventually include the newer player but it’s not safe to do so right now. Besides, the player looks pretty much the same as 5.
Thanks for the update. Does that mean that there is no way to get the most current version of 5 either? I ask because I have some customers who are having issues with videos, and my understanding is the newest version of Flowplayer 5 has better cross platform support. Additionally, I have videos with white backgrounds, and I really need the styling options that would allow for player controls to be something other than white. As it stands, I have the newest Flowplayer 5 installed, but it isn’t getting used even when I reference just embed a video rather than using Lightbox. I prefer the Lightbox approach because it offers an in-between size, not constrained by page columns and not full screen either. Being constrained to just the free version of Flowplayer is a bit limiting, if that is in fact the case.
Thanks!
I will need to take a closer look at your site to investigate this issue. I have sent you an email for it.
