I have the Lightbox Ultimate plugin installed on my wp site. I’m trying to get all my emember secured videos to run smoothly with all computers and mobile devices. I have made a secured and unsecured test page where you can see that the secured video is not working with iphone (even when logged into emember), but it works fine on my PC. When I go on my iphone the lightbox shows up but the video doesn’t play, just a black box shos up. I have both HTML5 and flowplayer enabled and auto play on both.

When I go to the unsecure page the video pops up in a weird long box that you have to scroll over and push play, it doesn’t auto play… but it at least plays

I have over 200 videos I need to add to my emember secured page ASAP and I need to get this working.

Also, when I am using HTML5 the file downloads completely before it plays on my PC so people think that it’s not working. Why is it doing this.

With HTML5 on my iphone, the video pops up with the little play button and the video pop up is not distorted. how come with the MP4 video display it doesn’t do that?

One more question… is there any way to have the flowplayer play when it detects a PC and when there is a mobile device it would play the HTML5? I’m so lost here on what to do

Hi, you really don’t need to use the html5 shortcode. The “all browser compatible” shortcode or the “flowplayer” shortcode will work on the iOS devices as well.

You just need to make sure that all the videos are properly encoded:

I fully understand that my videos need to be properly encoded. However I’m using top of the line software premier pro CS6 encoded to MP4 optimized for ios but it doesnt always work. For example, you say that the “flowplayer” videos will play on all devices, however when I go to the flowplayer video on my TEST7 page, it pops up, and page of the image shows but the play button is no where and it doesnt work??

The “all browser compatible” video also doesn’t play, the only one that does on my iphone is the html5 shortcode but you have to scroll all the way up and then push play..?? The youtube video with pretty photo & fancy box will also play however you have to scroll all the way up as well, it doesn’t auto play.

Hi, I tried your MP4 shortcode on our development site. It’s not playable on the iOS devices. Can you please encode your video using a H264 encoder (listed above) and give it a go?

I downloaded the encoder and now it will show up in a vertical image and you have to scroll over to push play..? it still won’t auto play like it’s supposed to. It only auto plays with HTMML5

I also tried encoding one of my bigger HD videos inside my members secured gallery and it still wont play. and now it won’t even play on my computer…?

also, on my iphone the video wont play inside the members gallery… it shows a black box with a play button slashed out. will the lightbox ultimate not work on phones with secured content with emember?

I encoded it to MP4… am I supposed to encode to h.264 with the save as type?

Yes, it needs to be H264 encoded.
