My theme has a menu with z-index: 9999
When I open a video in lightbox (either mp4 or S3) the menu bar is “on top of” lightbox. If I go full screen with lightbox, then the menu is hidden.
It “appears” that Lightbox/Fancybox has an initial z-Index of 9999 also. It also “appears” that there is no position: specified in the CSS, which some type of position: is required to make z-index work.
I also found that when the user selects full-screen the CSS is z-Index: 999999; position: absolute; and this works as my theme’s menu is covered up in this case.
I say “appears” because I’m looking in Firebug and it’s really hard to find this stuff and hold on to the location to really check it out.
ANYHOW, can you check this? Can you increase the z-Index for non-full screen to the higher value? Would help me and probably others since I notice a lot of “floating” menu bars on websites these days.
In the meantime I will advise users to use full-screen (which uses a very unconventional icon to do so).
I have the ability to add custom CSS through my theme without editing your CSS which I definitely don’t want to do, but I would need to know the ID and it appears there are many.
Thanks!
Please provide a link to a test page, with detailed instructions; so we can observe this behavior.
i don’t have a problem editing your custom css file. i’m using divi one-page theme and the top 20px of your box appears tucked under divi’s menu on my smaller laptop screen. please advise how to keep your box on top or perhaps float box ##px from top?
thank you
@jtdwp, Please provide a link to the page in question so I can take a look.
