HEllo
I plan on making a subscription site (emember) uploading Quicktime movies to Amazon s3 and making them available to paid subscribers. I noticed on the bottom of Quicktime movies there is a tab to ‘share’ it (you tube, etc.) Does that “share tab” show up on the Lightbox Ultimate? I would export is as just an M4v, but I am working in iMovie and the choice is Quicktime, or a “protected” M4V that can only be viewed in iTunes. To me that is too restricting.
So basically I want to use a quicktime video on lightbox ultimate and make sure it can’t be ‘shared’
thanks!
February 2, 2013 at 12:06 am #53497wpCommerceModeratorHi, I think the share option comes with the QuickTime player. Unfortunately there is no option in the plugin to play a video file using QuickTime player.

1. Does this mean that the lightbox Ultimate can’t read a Quicktime movie. and therefore I need to upload a different type of movie?
2. I have saved video are “protected m4v meaning (to my understanding that means it will only open in iTunes.) Will they open in Lightbox Ultimate?
thanks
February 2, 2013 at 11:42 pm #53499wpCommerceModeratorLightbox Ultimate plugin uses Flowplayer to play video files. So as long as the video is in the format(.mp4, .flv, .mov, .m4v, .f4v) that flowplayer can play it will open in lightbox. For .mp4, .mov, .m4v formats you also need to make sure that they are H.264 encoded.
February 6, 2013 at 3:31 pm #53500hopper12MemberLightbox not working. I followed the lightbox AmazonS3 tutorial on your site exactly. I put the shortcode in as Kurt tells you to, I chose flowplayer, and I link it to an image, and when I check the post, the image is there, there is no arrow on it, and when I click on the image, it just skips down to the blank area of the post- no Lightbox. The shortcode is below. I tried it many times.
The video works within AS3.

February 6, 2013 at 10:38 pm #53501wpCommerceModeratorCan you please share the link to the page?
February 6, 2013 at 11:22 pm #53502hopper12MemberI think this is it. It said it was the permalink on top of the post.

I tried other .mov movies, used flowplayer and received the same results.
February 7, 2013 at 12:13 am #53503wpCommerceModeratorHi, we will need to take a closer look at your site. I have sent an email to your registered email address for site access. Let me know if you don’t receive it.
February 7, 2013 at 1:48 am #53504hopper12MemberOK I sent it. Thanks
February 9, 2013 at 12:22 am #53505wpCommerceModeratorIt turned out that the theme was formatting the shortcode content with a custom
wpautop()
function call. -
