What is the best way to create a video seo sitemap for videos using your plugin shortcodes? Or to ask this another way, what plugins/programs are you aware of – either your or 3rd party – that support your shortcodes in creating a video sitemap to get better search ranking?
Hi, Lightbox is heavily based on JavaScript. When you embed a video you don’t actually embed it in the page. The video is generated dynamically in a popup. That’s why we don’t offer any video sitemap option in our Lightbox Ultimate plugin.
Video sitemap was very popular up until mid 2014 when Google stopped showing video thumbnail in the search results. Currently it only shows thumbnails from YouTube, Vimeo and some other popular third party video hosting sites.
If you really want to have a video sitemap, there is free plugin that you can use to create a sitemap for your YouTube videos:
