MemberWhen I started customizing WP Affiliate Platform the language files (like eng.php) were available through the plugin editor of WordPress. I changed a couple of words in eng.php and now they have disappeared. (The words were text not instruction)
Any ideas how I can get them back? I see that WP eStore displays them with no problem.

ModeratorDo you mean you can’t find the file, or that your changes have disappeared?
Within the Affiliate Platform plugin directory, navigate to the affiliates/lang folder. You will find the eng.php file there.
If you upgraded the plugin recently, any changes you made would have been overwritten. You should keep a backup of any file changes you make, before applying any upgrades.

MemberThanks wzp.
The changes I made are fine, but the access to the php files via the plugin editor has stopped.
I can still download via FTP of course, but I am curious why they were an option in the plugin editor and now aren’t.
I thought that maybe I did something. I have the backup files on hand.

Thanks for your time.

Moderator…the access to the php files via the plugin editor has stopped.
You should be able to select the lower level folders & files in the default WordPress plugin editor. However, some other plugins or themes might be overriding or even disabling editor functions. For instance, I have one site in which the editor was completely disabled by installation of a theme.

MemberI found out that if I select one of the files that are in the “affiliates” folder, the option changes to that folder and all the language files are then available in the plugin editor. I then have have to re-select the Affiliate Platform plugin to reach the upper level files again.
