iUnable to set cURL transfer options

Please help. I am trying to set up a site where you can download a ebook. After Paypal accepts payment, it sends a link to the download, but a blue screen with this message appears instead of the download:

“The secure download manager ran into a problem that it couldn’t handle, and is unable to process your download request. Please contact the site administrator.

Please tell the site administrator the problem was due to the following reason:

iUnable to set cURL transfer options”

Can you please point me in the right direction to fix this problem?

It means that you selected download Method 7 as your download method. For Method 7 to work, you must have the cURL library installed, ***and*** have the “Do Not Convert” URL preference selected.
