Hey there, whenever I add an item to my cart.. it says “Object Moved
This document may be found here” with the ‘here’ being a link to the page with the item i added to the cart…. why is this? How do I fix this issue?
October 24, 2010 at 1:06 am #25722IvyMemberHi, This is very strange. Can you send us a link to where this is happening so we can take a look at this issue?
October 24, 2010 at 2:28 am #25723tr4nceMemberhey there, im hosting with godaddy with the economy plan… is that not enough to support the amount of space needed in wordpress? If not, what is the best hosting plan at the best price/value for hosting this plugin with wordpress?
October 24, 2010 at 3:30 am #25724amin007ParticipantThe space has nothing to do with the issue you are having I am afraid.
It’s not processing the HTTP POST request. Every properly configured server should be able to handle this.
Do you know if your hosting is Windows or Unix?
Goddady’s hosting is not very good. I would recommend searching for the following in google:
Web hosting review
WordPress has a page listing some hosting companies recommended by them:
October 24, 2010 at 3:33 am #25725tr4nceMemberyeah thats what ive heard, im gonna switch hosting providers.
the hosting is Windows.
what hosting provider do you believe is the best for running eStore the best?
October 24, 2010 at 3:37 am #25726amin007ParticipantAny decent hosting provider will do. This post will explain what I personally use and my recommendations:
October 24, 2010 at 4:41 am #25727tr4nceMemberive narrowed it down to 3.
hostgator, laughing squid, and ix webhosting.
my site is gonna be a store selling themes, images, photoshop patterns/gradients/brushes/fonts, etc.
you said the amount of space doesnt really matter if i am using eStore right?
October 24, 2010 at 7:29 am #25728tr4nceMemberim really leaning towards laughing squid.. i like how the support is very personal and you pay for the exact bandwidth you want (for faster loading times).. most sites say unlimited bandwidth but really just give you it as you use it and need it (slower loading times)
the only downside of it is they dont do site set-ups during the weekends im gonna have to wait until tomorrow to set it up
October 24, 2010 at 8:07 pm #25729tr4nceMemberanyone have any experience with these hosts or wanna give any suggestions/input?
October 25, 2010 at 2:07 am #25730tr4nceMemberalmost been 24 hours since last response
October 25, 2010 at 3:53 am #25731amin007ParticipantI personally use Inmotion, Media Temple and WestHost at the moment but have received good feedback for both hostgator and laughing squid.
October 25, 2010 at 5:25 am #25732tr4nceMemberThanks for the reply, Media Temple looks like the best one yet..a little more than I wanted to spend, but you gotta spend it to make it. Have you had any issues with MediaTemple? Are they reliable? (im assuming thats what your paying the big bucks for, the comfort of knowing your sites taken care of as far as being slow, down, etc.)
October 25, 2010 at 7:24 am #25733amin007ParticipantMedia Temple is good but you kind of have to get their expensive package to get a good server (they have a lot of high end client so they try to cater for people who want to spend a lot of money).
I would suggest you get an Inmotion hosting business plan. It will cost you around $7 per month and should take care of everything you need. Media temple uses their custom platform so it might be a bit hard to get used to. InMotion will give you cPanel access which is fantastic as everyone is familiar with it.
October 25, 2010 at 10:15 am #25734tr4nceMemberyeah i looked more into it and your right, media template likes to advertise with there ‘who uses us as a host’ and suck people in to the less featured plans. Inmotion looks awesome.. do they have dedicated ip feature like hostgator? I cant find it listed on there plans.. I want to have a dedicated ip for various reasons, do you know if they offer that with any of there plans?
October 26, 2010 at 12:44 am #25735amin007ParticipantI can’t say for sure (I use the dedicated server plan so I only know the full details of this plan). You should be able to ask them though (they are usually very responsive). HostGator is good too. At the end of the day its your call but I think you will be satisfied if you get hosting from any of the following:
– InMotion
– HostGator
