Regarding the use of serial numbers for digital products, is there any limit to code length? Can it be words and not numbers? Is case a factor?

    Thanks,

Serial numbers can contain any character, except commas.

Can I just use one code over and over again?

The plugin will dole out whatever you have in the serial number list; so yes, you can have 100 copies of the same serial number. But why?

If the serial number is going to be the same, then you could just hard code that number/code in the email maybe or in the product specific instruction of that product.

The app I have made has the ability to register the password to register it. I don’t know how to do the coding for using a variety of passwords, so my idea was to send the password to the buyer once they purchase it. Sounds like you are suggesting that I put that in the reply email, right? Can I have a unique email response for just this one product?

Thats where the product specific instruction comes in handy. Whatever you add in the product specific instruction section of a product, will only get sent to the customers when they purchase that item. Try it out then you will understand what it does.
