Tagged: customize link, encrypted download link
Hi, Just processing another set of tests on my ecommerce site and found that the encrypted link discloses too much information for example – this is a version of the encrypted link that I received from a test purchase:
How can I not show the whole path as above and just show a simplified version such as:
Any response would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Gerry
Great question, I too would rather show less info on those links.
Ask and you shall receive…

Hi
I have a problem with eStore in that when i open an encrypted link on my iPAd it displays the full path to the file in my amazon s3 bucket, is there a way to stop this happening
That is totally okay for amazon s3 integration. That URL doesn’t compromise the security in any way. Your amazon s3 file will be private which means no one can directly access it without going via an encrypted link from eStore.
If your customers are getting the downloadable file after the purchase then you don’t have anything else to worry about.
As long as you have correctly setup the Amazon S3 eStore integration, you have nothing to worry about.
