Tagged: affiliate, author id, mass pay, revenue sharing
Hi. I do love the plugins and have great experiences with them. I’m using WP_estore together with WP_Affiliate to sell products and use a revenue share with the Author Id feature.
One issue: sometimes, not all the commissions are included in the PayPal Mass Pay report. When I look closer, I see that the Author Id was entered incorrectly for that product (usually a capitalization error).
Is there a way to manually correct the sale and attribute to the proper author? I’ve tried to do it in phpMyAdmin and the Sales/Comm Data shows it properly now, but then the Affiliate Mass Payout doesn’t include that sale.
Also, is my suspicion correct that the Author Id is specific to capitalization too? Meaning that authorId is NOT the same as AuthorId?
thanks in advance!
Author ID is actually an “Affiliate ID” so they case sensitive.
You can correct a wrong author commission manually from the “Sales/Commission” interface of the affiliate plugin.
1) Take note of the sale data/details. Then delete this commission entry (you can delete it by hitting the delete link next to each commission entry. you can also delete it using PHPMyAdmin)
2) Now, use the “Manual Commission Award” feature under the sales/commission interface to add the author commission using the correct ID.
