    Hi there. I tried placing a purchase on my web site. I did it both in sandbox mode, and live.

    When I placed a purchase in sandbox mode, I received an email (as seller) stating:

    “The post payment verification for a payment failed. This could happen for one of two reasons:

    1. The fund for the payment have not been cleared yet (no need to do anything as the digital product will be delivered once the fund clears).

    2. Someone maybe trying to scam a purchase! (no worries… WP eStore got your back :)

    Here are some more details…

    The Fund have not been cleared yet. Product will be delivered when the fund clears!”

    When I tested it live, I received my encrypted link (the funds were good) for my digital download. However, after that (according to email time stamp), another email comes in from the E-store (as buyer), saying

    “subject Pending Payment Received

    Thank You for your purchase. The Fund have not been cleared yet. Product will be delivered when the fund clears!”

    I am not sure what this means. firstly, I need to know that this (these) email(s) are in fact benign. Right now i think they are, since ive had a successful purchase both in sandbox and live.

    my log indicates that paypal ipn verfication failed.

    In sandbox mode it failed because i hadnt set up canadian funds as an acceptable currency, which alleviated the problem, AFAIK.

    in live mode when i did a refund via paypal, it sent these emails as well.

    Secondly, how do i alter the content of those emails? there are grammatical things i would like to make sure are working for my customers.

    In an ideal situation nobody will ever receive these emails. These emails basically give you a means to correct things when there is a problem. If you are getting the “Fund not cleared message” then you can ignore it as PayPal will send another notification when the fund clears and everything will happen then.

    To customize the email text for this error message you can take a look at the “paypal.php” file. Search for the following line:

    $body = “Thank You for your purchase. The Fund have not been cleared yet. Product will be delivered when the fund clears!”;
