My inventory and stats are not updating and I am not getting emails from eStore after a purchase. I am only receiving emails from PayPal. I have just updated/re-installed my plugin and it is still not working. I have also, tried deactivating and reactivating.
I am using WordPress 3.4.1 if that helps any. I have my debug files enabled but nothing is getting written to them.
Please help if you can.
July 17, 2012 at 8:01 pm #47427web_adminSpectatorI have also done both theme and plugin testing explained here: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/test-to-identy-a-conflicting-theme-or-plugin. It is still not updating the inventory, stats or sending emails (other than in Paypal) after a purchase. Debug files are still blank as well.
July 17, 2012 at 9:56 pm #47428web_adminSpectatorSo I have narrowed it down to being a problem with the cart. If I add items to cart and try to check out with paypal, nothing is updated in inventory, stats or costumers. PayPal makes the transaction but eStores never sees the transaction as being done. If I purchase something using buy now buttons and subscribe buttons, they seem to work fine. The inventory and stats updates, and the debug files are being written.
So the issue seems to lie with the shopping cart feature. Am I missing a setting in order to use the shopping cart?
FYI – My IPN is enabled in PP.
July 18, 2012 at 12:49 am #47429IvyMemberPlease run a test transaction with the debug turned on as this will tell you exactly what is going wrong after a payment.
The following forum post will explain when and how to use the debug:
If you need help reading the debug log feel free to share the content of the following two debug files
– ipn_handle_debug.log
– eStore_post_payment_debug.log
– subscription_handle_debug.log
July 18, 2012 at 1:09 pm #47430web_adminSpectatorI just checked out with the shopping cart with debug enabled… nothing is being written to the debug file. They are all empty.
I have already read and done all in the following..
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/what-to-do-if-the-debug-file-is-empty
I got to step 6.. My IPN was not enabled. So I set the Instant Payment Notification Preferences and enabled my IPN, but the shopping cart feature is still not updating the inventory, stats, costumers, debug file or sending emails.
I have also done the following: upgraded my eStore, Deactivated it and reactivated it, checked theme and plugins. My sandbox setting are as follows: Auto return: Off
Block Non-encrypted Website Payment: Off
PayPal Account Optional: On
Return URL: Empty (is set in eStore)
Payment Data Transfer (PDT): Off
Instant Payment Notification (IPN):
Nothing has worked.
The inventory, stats, debug and emails will only update if I use the buy now or subscription buttons. Checking out with Paypal via shopping cart does not update eStore at all.

July 20, 2012 at 12:16 am #47433adminKeymasterAfter I add an item and try to checkout, it asks me to login? What am I missing?
July 20, 2012 at 12:46 pm #47434web_adminSpectatorSorry, You will need to create a user account to make a purchase. http://www.fiatclubamerica.com/join-us-2.
We are still just trying to test everything, so it is set up to run in Sandbox. I can send you login information but I would rather send it via email and not post it in the feed.
July 20, 2012 at 10:54 pm #47435adminKeymasterAh you are doing sandbox testing! That makes sense… PayPal sandbox has stopped sending IPN for cart checkout API recently (I don’t know why just yet but you will have better luck asking them on their developer forum). Review checklist 8 from the following post which will explain more on this:
Just to assure you that your checkout is not broken… if you did a live transaction, it would work perfectly.
July 23, 2012 at 1:12 pm #47436web_adminSpectatorAh! Thank you so much. That is a big relief. I will try a live transaction and let you know if that works.
Thanks again.
July 24, 2012 at 12:27 pm #47437web_adminSpectatorWorked perfectly. Thank you.
