I’ve set up variations in the eStore settings for US/Canada/International shipping. For one product it will add the extra shipping but for the others it isn’t. So I’m have to go back to those orders and ask that people send me more money or refund it to them.
I’ve looked at each product and I can’t figure out what the difference is!
November 11, 2014 at 12:09 am #66687wpCommerceModeratorHi, the shipping variation is displayed if there is at least one tangible product in the shopping cart. Have you specified a base shipping cost for other tangible products?
Alternatively, you can enable “Always Display Shipping Variation” option in the settings if you are only selling tangible products from your site. Please check the following link for more information:

November 11, 2014 at 12:33 am #66688donielleMemberWe sell only tangible products and offer free shipping within the US, $8 for Canada, and $12 International. I have it set to “Always Display Shipping Variation”.
I set the eStore shipping settings to have a zero base cost and this variation – Country|USA|Canada:8|Other:12
When people purchase most of our items and they select a country, it charges them the additional postage. We have two items though, that when they select a country it doesn’t add any additional shipping. As far as I can see, all of our settings are the same.

November 11, 2014 at 9:55 pm #66690donielleMemberNo value has been placed in the shipping and tax area when I go to edit the individual items. Other than the product name, price, and the additional product details all of the information is the same for all my items.

November 13, 2014 at 12:38 am #66694adminKeymasterLooks like you are applying an auto free shipping discount which is making it free. Why don’t you do the following?
Remember all shipping so the default is “Free Shipping”. No need to apply any automatically free shipping discount. Then if someone selects the international option from the dropdown, it will add the extra shipping specified in that option.
