I have just installed WP eStore yesterday and am testing it out. I am getting the a 500 Internal Server Error when I click on the Paypal Checkout button for the file:
My test product page is [http://www.heart-of-fire-illuminators.com/wp1/test-product-1/]
I am using Thesis 1.6 and WP 2.9.2.
I was wondering if maybe the permissions on the php files were correct? They are 644.
Thank you in advance for you assistance.

What is the PHP version on your server? Can you please post a link to the page where you have the “Add to cart” buttons so I can have a look at it?
March 22, 2010 at 3:32 pm #19018IlluminatorLadyMemberI looked through the server log file and it seems the problem was due to the permissions f the plugins directory being 777. So I fixed that and am now getting a different problem.
The call is going to Paypal but the shopping cart is empty.
I am also noticing that the Description fields in the shopping cart is empty.
And, when I add Product 1 to the cart, then Product 2, I get a quantity of 2 for Product 1.
My test product page is [http://www.heart-of-fire-illuminators.com/wp1/new-product-page/]
and my server is running PHP 5.2.9.
Thank you so much for your help. I am so anxious to get this plugin in and running so I can add the affiliate tools.

March 22, 2010 at 5:06 pm #19019IlluminatorLadyMemberAnother symptom/clue that may be related to the problem of the Product Name not showing up under Desc…
When I go into Manage Product and select to edit an existing product, the field “Product Name” is empty, but all the other fields for that product are complete. If I make a change to a field value like Product Description in the Additional Product Details section and save my changes, they don’t appear on my site’s product web page (or in the Product database).
However, if after I select a product to edit and fill in the proper value for Product Name, then make a change to the Product Description field and save, my changes show up on my site’s product page.
Don’t know if this helps or confuses things…

March 23, 2010 at 1:02 am #19022IvyMemberHi Lisa, I just emailed you regarding this. This has to do with the ” in your product names it seems to be causing an issue. I tested this by changing product 7 and 8’s name (Please verify that the names are correct.) and you can now see that they add to the cart fine. I also updated your plugin for you. Please let me know if you have anymore problems.

We’re having this issue too.
Same exact thing, except…none of our product names have ” in them…
Any help you can provide would be great, as we just realized this as an issue when orders stopped coming in for two weeks.
Thanks so much!

April 28, 2010 at 6:45 am #19027georgecMemberI am having the same issue as well. I just modified my .htaccess file to enable PHP5 (which was a previous issue). Everything else seems to be working fine, but clicking the PayPal checkout link generates the 500 Internal Server Error page.
April 28, 2010 at 8:17 am #19028georgecMemberAfter finding the info on the troubleshooting page about not using the default permalink settings, the PayPal button worked fine.
