Tagged: eMember, forum, integration, mingle
Hi there,
I have installed the Mingle Forum plugin on my site with eMember and I really like its simplicity, etc. It works fine – BUT…
– I set it up to only work for members, i.e. the page on which Mingle resides is protected. So… it “should know” that whoever accesses it is ALREADY logged in. (?)
– When I log in and open the forum, then I can either disable “ask for login/registration” in which case anyone can post on the forum BUT with the same generic name
– or… I can get it to ask for people to “login/register” but in that case they have to register AGAIN.
I imagine that a similar problem must exist with the other forum plugins. Does anyone have an idea how to solve it? Meaning: so that users can take part WITHOUT re-registering and with their logged-in usernames being used in forum posts?
Thanks for your help,
Paul
We do not have good knowledge of the mingle plugin and there is no integration available with eMember and the mingle pluign unfortunately. We mainly work with BBPress plugin as we have better understanding of that plugin. Discussion on the following post might give you ideas which you may be able to convert into your forum plugin:
