Hello eStore Forum!
I am in a pretty desperate state!
My site was hacked and I lost all php files. I was able to recover most things by:
1. Installing a fresh version of wordpress
2. Re-installing my backed up theme.
3. Associating new wp install, existing theme with an existing db backup.
4. I installed a version of the eStore plugin that I had on another client’s site, but it’s not reading the old/existing db.
I am guessing there may be a version discrepancy between the older one that I used to have on this broken site and the one I recently tried to replace it with. I can see the data still in the db table ”wp_eStore_tbl”.
Since my old estore plugin was wiped out, I’m not sure which version that was… The newest one I installed is version v 6.9.1.9.
The data is there, why isn’t it being read? Is there some sort of import or conversion I need to do?
Please help, and thanks in advance!

November 26, 2012 at 5:14 pm #51775nokaMemberHi Ivy – thanks for the tip. I tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin…. sadly that didn’t work. Any other tips I could try?
November 27, 2012 at 12:28 am #51776adminKeymasterThere is most likely a slight discrepancy in the eStore table names or the number of columns in a table. The best way to address this is to do the following:
1) Backup the eStore products data using PHPMyAdmin. It looks like you know how to use PHPMyAdmin but if you don’t then this video should help:
2) Now delete all the eStore tables from PHPMyAdmin (basically delete any tables with the “eStore” keyword in it).
3) Deactivate and delete the currently installed copy of eStore.
4) Install a fresh copy of eStore.
5) Create a product from the “Add/Edit Products” Menu.
Does the recently added product show up in the “Manage Products” menu?
If it does then import the content of the previously exported data into the existing eStore tables (don’t import the full tables from your old backup or server… just import the data that are in the table).
December 1, 2012 at 9:04 pm #51777nokaMemberOk! My catalogue and customers db is back!! YOU ARE AWESOME!! One pending question; I can’t seem to find which db has all the estore ‘settings’ in it (e.g. paypal settings, email settings, etc). Which table is that?
Thanks so much – very very happy to see my catalogue back and healthy – if I can get my estore settings back, I’ll be back in business!
Cheers and thanks!
December 3, 2012 at 12:58 am #51778adminKeymasterThe settings are stored in a core WordPress database table. So they should have migrated with your WordPress site. If they are not there then it is best to go to eStore settings and configure the settings again. Configuring the settings is a quick process anyway.
December 7, 2012 at 8:02 am #51779nokaMemberOkay, I’m almost all the way back in business… One thing that seems to be an issue is that, for some reason, none of my catalogue products retained their shipping costs. When I manually try to add a shipping cost to an item, then hit save, it’s not being stored to the database and shows up blank again. Any thoughts on how I can fix this? Thanks!
December 9, 2012 at 4:48 am #51780nokaMemberI am wondering if there’s a setting I’m missing or if the db is actually corrupted? Hitting save does not save the S&H settings…
December 9, 2012 at 10:23 am #51781PeterMemberPlease try the things stated in point 2) in the link below to see if your problem may be being caused by another plugin:
