I imported all members using this plugin. I had to format the date columns for “Member Since” and “Subscription starts” to yyyy-mm-dd. I entered the date that way (i.e. 2006-06-01) and saved it as .csv and imported to eMember.
When I look at my member details both of these dates show 1899-11-30 for all records. I can’t enter a date manually in either of these date fields when editing members in eMember. It forces a calendar popup for date selection. However the calendar popup doesn’t allow me to select any date prior to November 1, 2006 which I think is the Excel equivalent of 1899-11-30.
If I open my .csv file again, I don’t see the date as yyyy-mm-dd which is how I entered it. But it displays as yy/mm/dd (Example 2001-06-01 shows as 01/06/01. Is this the reason these dates imported incorrectly? I’ve tried changing the date format 3 times and importing and get the same result each time.
I’m willing to manually key in dates for 236 members. However I need to be able to key in a “Member Since” date prior to November of 2006 and I can’t do that now.
Thanks
November 2, 2011 at 11:05 pm #38102adminKeymasterThe calendar doesn’t go beyond 2006 (we didn’t think anyone would need that) but when you import the details into the member’s database you should be able to specify any date value you want. It just has to be in the yyyy-mm-dd format.
Can you please delete all the data and then do another import using the methods explained in this video tutorial and let me know how that goes?
November 3, 2011 at 7:06 pm #38103My site is live, and members are logging in, so I cannot delete and reimport all the members.
As I stated, I reformatted the date field column in the .csv file to yyyy-mm-dd prior to keying in all my data for the 2 date fields.
I had “Member since” dates back to 2000, but they all imported as 1899-11-30.
At this point if the members want to change their “Member Since” date, and it’s prior to 2006 they cannot. Is there a code fix you can issue to allow the calendar’s to go earlier than 2006?
Thanks

November 3, 2011 at 11:56 pm #38105adminKeymasterThere is a new build of eMember available that has a calendar that can go back beyond 2006. You can get a new build from here:
